Overview

Chronograph was founded to bring next-generation technology to private capital markets. Through our suite of cloud-based analytics and data management solutions, we help many of the world’s largest and most sophisticated venture capital, private equity, and credit funds understand their investment performance in unprecedented detail, with over 258,000 private companies and 15,000 private capital funds monitored via our solution suite.

At Chronograph, we get to go “behind the scenes” and work directly with investors who are driving some of the most impactful changes across high-growth start-ups, global infrastructure and renewable energy, growth equity, and all other private capital strategies. The firm is backed by The Carlyle Group, Nasdaq Inc., and Summit Partners, and has seen continuous rapid growth since its founding in 2016.

The Opportunity

Bring your expertise to a highly collaborative, creative, and innovative team with a market-leading technology product suite. We are seeking a strategic, results-oriented Event Manager to join our Marketing team to own and elevate our events channel across the full spectrum of Chronograph’s go-to-market motion.

You will work closely with stakeholders across Sales, Product, Account Management, and Client Success to design and execute a high-impact events strategy — spanning industry conferences, proprietary client events, webinars, and field marketing activations. This position will report to the Head of Marketing, with broad visibility across the organization as you build and scale our events function.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a driven, detail-oriented top performer to become directly engaged with some of the world’s most sophisticated private capital investors and produce an immediate impact within a globally-focused financial technology firm.

As an Event Manager at Chronograph, you will:

  • Own the end-to-end strategy, planning, and execution of Chronograph’s events calendar, including sponsored conferences, owned executive roundtables, client socials and dinners, user conferences, and virtual webinars
  • Partner with Client Management stakeholders to align event programming with pipeline generation goals, retention, adoption, and other key account priorities
  • Manage all logistics for in-person and virtual events: venue sourcing, vendor negotiations, budgets, A/V, registration, travel coordination, and post-event follow-ups
  • Develop compelling event experiences and content in partnership with Product Marketing, creating consistent messaging that resonates with institutional investors and allocators
  • Track, analyze, and report on event performance metrics (attendance, pipeline influence, ROI) and use data to continuously refine our approach
  • Represent Chronograph at major private capital industry conferences (e.g., SuperReturn, Private Markets Forum, PEI events) and manage on-site presence
  • Identify and evaluate new sponsorship and speaking opportunities that position Chronograph as a thought leader in the private markets data space
  • Collaborate with the broader Marketing team on integrated campaign support, including pre- and post-event content, email, and social amplification

You will be successful in the role if you have:

  • 3-5 years of B2B events marketing experience, ideally within financial services, fintech, or enterprise SaaS
  • Demonstrated track record of owning large-scale events end-to-end, from strategy through execution and post-event measurement
  • Familiarity with the institutional investment and private capital ecosystem — understanding of who attends, what they care about, and how to engage them
  • Interest and ability to travel to events (ex. NYC, London, San Francisco, Chicago, Berlin) with travel required roughly once per quarter
  • Strong project management skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously under tight deadlines
  • Experience managing event budgets and vendor relationships, with a focus on maximizing impact and ROI
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable presenting to executive leadership and engaging directly with clients and prospects
  • A collaborative, proactive mindset and the ability to work cross-functionally across Sales, Marketing, and Product
  • Nice-to-haves: experience with webinar/virtual event platforms (e.g., ON24, Zoom Webinars), HubSpot or Salesforce, and managing external event agencies or contractors
  • Positive attitude, sense of humor, and a genuine enthusiasm for building programs from scratch

Even if you do not meet all criteria, we would still encourage you to apply or get in touch! Chronograph offers an entrepreneurial environment where you will be able to proactively identify opportunities to develop and strengthen our team.
