About This Role:
Veranex has an exciting opportunity to join our Information Technology team as an IT Operations Specialist 1 to contribute to the management of day-to-day operations of Veranex systems and software.
What You Will Do:
- Monitor the performance and status of systems, local networks, and applications.
- Assist in performing routine maintenance tasks such as updates, patches, and backups. Reports any issues or anomalies to senior IT staff for resolution.
- Provide first-level technical support to employees, helping resolve basic hardware and software issues.
- Log and track support requests, ensuring timely resolution.
- Escalate complex issues to higher-level IT staff or specialized teams.
- Assist in managing network devices, including switches, routers, and firewalls.
- Support the implementation of security measures to protect IT systems and data.
- Help maintain network documentation and diagrams.
- Document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and common issues.
- Assist in creating and maintaining IT documentation, including user guides and standard operating procedures.
- Generate basic reports on system performance and incidents.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field and 1 to 3 years of experience in corporate IT system management and support
- Understanding of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and security principles
- Familiarity with operating systems (i.e., Windows, Linux, macOS) and basic networking concepts
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and perform a wide range of activities
- Ability to work under challenging deadlines
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
