About This Role

Veranex has an exciting opportunity to join our team Facilities & EHS Specialist. You will be part of a team working to improve lives globally through medical technology innovation. The Facilities & EHS Specialist will ensure that the workplace is safe, compliant and conducive to employees’ well-being.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment, machinery, and related facilities
  • Identify equipment maintenance needs, record mechanical equipment readings, and ensure accuracy of records
  • Perform routine inspections and manage corresponding records/documentation including updating policies and procedures as needed
  • Coordinate activities for external contract services for the building, and support budgeting activities
  • Support the logistics team by managing the receipt and shipping of packages to/from the MN office
  • Maintain required records of hours/materials expended for each job.
  • Comply with GMP, safety, and audit standards
  • Ensure OSHA compliance & support HR with Workers Compensation
  • Ensure and adhere to safe work practices and procedures.
  • Work independently under limited supervision (self-management)
  • Contribute to the development of an Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) program at Veranex.

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of a high school diploma or its equivalent, or a combination of education, training and relevant experience
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience, including 1 year in leadership capacity.
  • Good knowledge of company people management policies and procedures, performance management, corrective action
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and projects
  • Team player and willing to work with minimal supervision
  • Excellent problem-solving, communications, and organization skills
  • Aptitude for cleaning, repairing, and maintaining mechanical equipment
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office, Excel, and spreadsheets
  • Experience working with hand, power, and specialized tools
  • Ability to read, interpret and understand technical manuals, blueprints, drawings, and diagrams
  • Attention to detail
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
  • Able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in medical devices or other regulated industry
  • Experience working with OSHA standards compliance

  • This is a fully onsite position in Minneapolis, MN
