About This Role

Veranex has an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Electrical Engineer. In this role, you will lead electrical design and development efforts throughout the entire product lifecycle—from initial concept and prototyping to testing, verification, and transfer to manufacturing. You’ll also play a key role in mentoring and training electrical engineers in best practices for electronics and medical device design.

What You Will Do

  • Lead electrical hardware design, prototyping, testing, and documentation for medical devices and diagnostic systems.
  • Perform embedded system integration, testing, and debugging across diverse hardware platforms.
  • Author and maintain production test procedures and technical documentation to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers in electronics and medical device design practices.
  • Deliver technical presentations to internal teams and clients.
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to capture product specifications, risk documentation, and test protocols.
  • Maintain expertise in medical and diagnostic standards, including general safety and EMC requirements.
  • Introduce and evaluate new electronics design tools, software applications, and test equipment.
  • Function as the electrical engineering lead on assigned projects, ensuring alignment with client goals and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • 3–6 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering, preferably in the medical device industry.
  • Strong knowledge of circuit design, digital interfaces, rapid prototyping, simulation, debugging, and automated hardware testing.
  • Familiarity with medical device standards and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects effectively.
  • Experience working independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
