Qualifications:
- Board-certified internal medicine or family medicine physician.
- Minimum of 2 years Hospitalist experience.
- Leadership experience preferred; this can include Qi projects.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
Scheduling:
- Full-time position follows a 7-days-on, 7-days-off rotation.
- Day Hospitalist Hours - 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
- As a day physician, you will round and discharge inpatients. May receive an occasional admission if the admitter is backed up.
- As the Associate Medical Director you will assist the Medical Director with administrative/leadership responsibilities while building strong relationships with our hospital partner leadership.
- Our hospital has a closed ICU during the day with 24/7 intensivist support by Sound’s own Critical Care team. There are no procedural requirements.
- Our hospitalist team plays a pivotal role in the rapid response team, while the intensivist team manages codes.
- We hold weekly huddles and monthly team meetings, in addition to lunch-and-learn sessions, to stay current on the latest medical developments at the hospital and with Sound.
- We work in Meditech Expanse, a web-based system with access to our internal informatics platform.

Compensation:
- The base salary for a full-time day hospitalist is $265,000 (there will be an increase the fall of 2026) plus as the Associate Medical Director you will receive a $30,000 yearly stipend along with opportunities for performance-based bonuses.
- Additional compensation is paid for shifts worked above full-time commitment.
