POSITION SUMMARY:
The Technical Project Manager (TPM) contractor leads complex, cross-functional technology initiatives focused on data platform modernization and DevOps transformation. This role coordinates delivery across engineering, data, analytics, and infrastructure teams, ensuring successful adoption of CI/CD pipelines, cloud data platforms, and standardized DevOps practices. Strong communication, organizational skills, and technical curiosity are essential.
THE DETAILS:
This contract position is expected to span an initial six-month term, with the potential for extension based on ongoing project demand. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
Project Planning & Delivery
Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, status reports and delivery roadmaps across Dev/Test/Prod environments.
Track dependencies, risks, and issues proactively. Escalate issues for resolution and ensure mitigation strategies implemented to ensure successful project outcomes.
Create project artifacts: charters, scope definitions, risk registers, and status reports.
Coordinate Snowflake migration, ADF CI/CD modernization, Power BI governance, and IaC standardization (Bicep/Terraform).
Technical Coordination & DevOps Enablement
Partner with engineering teams to implement YAML-based multi-stage CI/CD pipelines, automated validation, and security scanning.
Coordinate delivery for Snowflake, ADF, Power BI, and Azure infrastructure deployments.
Ensure consistent configuration management using Key Vaults and managed identities.
Stakeholder Communication & Alignment
Act as liaison between vendors, business sponsors, stakeholders and technical teams.
Facilitate planning sessions, backlog reviews, and design discussions.
Communicate status and risks to technical and non-technical audiences.
Process Improvement & Change Management
Apply Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid methodologies as appropriate.
Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort and improve reliability.
Support adoption of new tools and workflows through documentation and training.
Delivery Tracking & Reporting
Maintain dashboards and documentation in project management tools.
Track milestones, deliverables, and success metrics (deployment frequency, release stability).
Experience and Education
Bachelor’s degree required.
PMP certification is highly desired.
5–7 years of project management experience in technical delivery.
Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, cloud platforms, and data ecosystems preferred.
Healthcare or regulated industry experience a plus.
Pay Range: $75-$100 per hour. Exact pay will be determined based on candidate experience and geographic location
