ABOUT THE ROLE
Director of Product, Sound Long Term Care Management Accountable Care Organization (ACO), will lead the strategic vision, development, and lifecycle management of digital products designed to improve population health outcomes, enhance care coordination, and support data-driven decision-making for healthcare organizations. This role bridges clinical, technical, and business domains to ensure the products effectively support long term care providers and facilities, payers, and our ACO in identifying care gaps, managing risk, and optimizing patient outcomes across populations. This role will work closely with Product and Clinical Leadership, Information Technology, Client Services, and external partners to drive the operational aspects of product development process with an end goal of helping the ACO Team achieve better outcomes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Product Strategy & Roadmap
- Define and own the product vision, strategy, and success metrics for the Population Health Tools in alignment with organizational goals.
- Develop and maintain a product roadmap that balances innovation, customer needs, and compliance requirements.
- Conduct market analysis, competitive benchmarking, and stakeholder interviews to identify trends and opportunities in population health management and value-based care.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner with cross-functional teams including engineering, UX/UI design, information technology, data analytics, and compliance to define and deliver high-impact product features.
- Work closely with customers (ACO team members, providers, long-term care facilities, payers) to gather feedback and translate needs into actionable product requirements.
- Serve as the primary liaison between product, clinical, and technical teams to ensure clarity of vision and alignment of priorities.
Product Development & Execution
- Write detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and product specifications that drive feature development and iterative releases.
- Prioritize backlog items and manage sprint planning in collaboration with Agile development teams.
- Oversee product testing, validation, and user acceptance to ensure quality, security, and compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare regulations.
Data & Analytics
- Collaborate with data analytics teams to integrate population-level metrics, risk stratification models, and predictive insights into the platform.
- Ensure the tools supports interoperability standards (FHIR, HL7, CCD) and integrate effectively with EHRs and third-party health data sources as needed.
- Evaluate performance through KPIs such as patient engagement, cost reduction, quality outcomes, and user satisfaction.
Compliance & Quality
- Ensure adherence to privacy, data governance, and security standards including HIPAA, HITECH, and applicable CMS quality programs.
- Stay informed on healthcare policy changes, value-based care models, and regulatory frameworks impacting population health tools.
Continuous Improvement
- Monitor user adoption and feedback to continuously refine the product.
- Support go-to-market strategy, sales enablement, and customer onboarding.
- Develop product documentation, training materials, and release notes.

- Experience in product management working in Agile/Scrum environments.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Business, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in product/vendor management, preferably within healthcare technology, population health, or analytics. The ideal candidate has a clinical background or experience in healthcare.
- Proven track record of launching and scaling data-driven healthcare products.
SALARY RANGE
- This position offers an annual salary range of $115,000-$155,000. Exact salary will depend on the candidate’s experience, education and geographic location. This position is eligible for additional compensation beyond base pay.
