The Role

As a Technical Implementation Manager at Simply.TV, you will lead and coordinate the successful technical onboarding and implementation of Simply.TV’s data and metadata solutions for new and existing customers. Acting as the bridge between customers and internal teams, you ensure implementations are delivered on time, to scope, and to a high technical standard.

This role blends technical understanding, structured delivery, and strong stakeholder management, ensuring smooth and predictable customer launches in a fast-paced, international environment.

Responsibilities

You are successful when:

  • You own and manage end-to-end technical implementations, from kick-off through go-live and handover to ongoing support.
  • You gather, analyse, and document customer technical requirements and translate them into clear and actionable implementation plans.
  • You coordinate closely with Engineering, Product, Data Operations, Editorial Teams and Technical Account Managers to ensure aligned and timely delivery.
  • You act as the primary technical point of contact during implementations, proactively managing risks, dependencies, and timelines.
  • You oversee configuration, data setup, testing, and validation to ensure solutions meet customer expectations and quality standards.
  • You track progress, communicate clear status updates, and manage stakeholder expectations throughout the implementation lifecycle.
  • You identify opportunities to improve implementation processes, tooling, and documentation.
  • You ensure a smooth transition from implementation into steady-state support and account ownership.

Qualifications

You'll thrive in this role if you:

  • Have a background in Business/STEM/Data, or a related field and passion for Tech Products
  • Have 0-3 years of work experience in technical implementation, delivery, solutions engineering, or a similar customer-facing technical role.
  • Experience in the TV industry, such as at a TV operator, broadcaster, or businesses handling TV/OTT metadata is a plus
  • Have a basic understanding of APIs, data integrations, and modern SaaS or data-driven platforms.
  • Are comfortable managing multiple implementations or projects in parallel.
  • Bring strong organisational skills and a structured, delivery-focused mindset.
  • Communicate clearly and confidently in written and spoken English.
  • Enjoy working cross-functionally and building strong relationships with both customers and internal teams,
  • Are proactive, detail-oriented, and motivated to deliver high-quality outcomes in a freelance capacity.

Practicalities

  • Reports to: Director Of Customer Implementation
  • Location: Home-based role requiring travel to our clients' offices (Sydney) upon request.
  • Type of Collaboration: collaboration based on a freelancer set-up on a full-time allocation basis (40 hours per week).
