Role description
As a Technical Account Manager (TAM) at Simply.TV, you'll act as a trusted advisor and strategic partner for key clients, with a strong emphasis on sales acumen to drive customer success and revenue growth. While technical expertise can be developed through product training, this role demands proven sales skills, customer-centric mindset, and exceptional communication to help clients integrate, optimize, and scale with our data solutions at Simply.TV.
You'll collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Sales teams on client onboarding, proactive support, and long-term relationship management to maximize value and retention.
You are successful when:
- You build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients, deeply understanding their technical environment and business goals.
- You provide proactive guidance, roadmaps, and best practices to help customers optimize their use of Simply.TV’s metadata solutions.
- You collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Sales to resolve complex technical issues and deliver impactful solutions.
- You monitor account health, identify potential risks, and act as the customer advocate during escalations.
- You lead technical reviews, onboard new customers, and identify upsell or cross-sell opportunities to drive mutual growth.
- You document technical activities, track open items, and maintain clear and actionable account plans.
- You stay current on product updates, new features, and industry trends to anticipate and address client needs.
Qualifications
You'll thrive in this role if you:
- University degree in a relevant area, e.g. Business or Data
- 0-3 years experience as a Technical Account Manager in B2B tech or metadata
- Have exceptional written & spoken English skills (additional European languages are a plus)
- Have a passion for technology, innovation, and customer success.
- Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive, hands-on mindset.
- Are an excellent communicator who can translate complex technical concepts into clear and simple language.
- Enjoy working collaboratively across technical and commercial teams.
- Are comfortable learning in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where adaptability is key.
- Are full-time available and eager to build lasting client relationships.
