Job Summary: We're looking for a BI Developer to join our BI & Analytics team and transform complex data into clear, reliable, and actionable insights. In this role, you'll build and maintain client-facing dashboards and internal reporting solutions, partnering closely with data engineering teams upstream and business stakeholders downstream. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who is comfortable working within a modern BI stack and excited to take end-to-end ownership of the reporting layer—from requirements gathering and dashboard development to delivery and ongoing optimization.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports that are accurate, performant, and easy for non-technical stakeholders to use.
  • Write and optimize SQL to shape source data into clean, well-modeled datasets for reporting.
  • Translate business questions and metric definitions into dashboard logic, and document that logic clearly for stakeholders.
  • Partner with the data engineering team on data models, schema changes, and data-quality issues, flagging discrepancies at the source rather than patching around them.
  • Establish and follow consistent design standards: naming conventions, color and layout systems, reusable components, and export/print-ready formats.
  • QC your own work and validate outputs against source-of-truth logic before release.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1–3 years of experience building dashboards and reports in a BI tool (e.g., Sigma, Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar).
  • At least 2 years of working SQL experience - comfortable writing basic queries (SELECT, filtering, simple joins, and aggregations). Advanced SQL is a plus, not a requirement.
  • A solid grasp of data modeling fundamentals and how source structure affects reporting accuracy.
  • Clear communication skills - you can explain technical logic in plain language and document your work so others can maintain it.
  • An eye for design and usability: layout, consistency, and readability matter to you.
  • Attention to detail and a QC mindset; you validate before you ship.

NicetoHave Qualifications

  • Experience with Sigma Computing.
  • Familiarity with a cloud data warehouse (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or similar).
  • Experience with client-facing reporting and requirements like row-level security or data suppression.
  • Comfort with documentation tools (e.g., Confluence) and ticketing/workflow tools (e.g., Jira).

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and professional experience.
