RIS Rx has quickly become an industry leader in delivering impactful solutions to stakeholders across the healthcare continuum. RIS Rx is proud to offer an immersive service portfolio to help address common access barriers. We don’t believe in a “one size fits all” approach to our service offerings. Here at RIS Rx, we invite our partners and colleagues to “Rise Up” with us to bring accessible healthcare and solutions for all.
Job Summary: RIS Rx is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help build and scale the platforms that identify and mitigate gross-to-net (GTN) revenue leakage for pharmaceutical manufacturers. This is a hands-on role for an engineer who owns features and components end to end across our Go services and React/TypeScript front end and who sets a high bar for craft within their team.
Responsibilities:
- Own features and components end to end, from design through production, across the stack (Go services and APIs, React/TypeScript UI).
- Write well-tested, maintainable code, and author and review feature-level designs.
- Build and operate services on AWS (Lambda, SQS, S3) backed by PostgreSQL in a multi-tenant environment, handling idempotency, retries, and ordering in event-driven flows.
- Implement integrations against documented partner and FHIR contracts, with sound error handling, retries, and auth (Cognito/Entra, OAuth scopes).
- Treat testing, security, and correct handling of regulated data (PHI, partner contracts) as part of the work, not an afterthought.
- Operate what you ship with monitoring, on-call, and incident response for your components.
- Mentor newer engineers and give clear, constructive code-review feedback.
- Collaborate with product, operations, and nearby engineering teams to deliver reliably.
Skills:
- 5+ years in analytics engineering, data, or a closely related role.
- Strong SQL and transformation modeling with dbt or an equivalent.
- Experience designing dimensional or semantic models and stewarding metric definitions.
- Analytics testing and CI/CD, with clear documentation habits.
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake (or a comparable cloud warehouse).
- Experience with governed or regulated data (PHI, minimum-necessary) preferred.
- Strong communication to translate business questions into models and explaining them clearly.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
