The position
At PostPilot, you’ll be part of a collaborative, fast-moving team that values accuracy, accountability, and efficiency. As our Staff Accountant, you’ll support the Finance team by helping maintain clean, timely financial records that support daily operations and monthly reporting.
The ideal candidate is precise, organized, and dependable, with a strong grasp of accounting fundamentals and attention to detail. You’ll ensure that every transaction is properly recorded, every reconciliation is accurate, and every report is delivered on time.
This is a full-time remote position. You’ll collaborate closely with our Finance team and report to the Controller. The role requires overlap with U.S. Eastern Time hours for communication and reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation and posting of journal entries, accruals, and adjustments as part of the month-end and year-end close process.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and intercompany balances on a monthly basis.
- Support general ledger maintenance and perform account reconciliations under the direction of the Controller.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, ensuring proper coding and approvals.
- Assist with preparation of financial statements, management reports, and supporting schedules.
- Maintain and reconcile fixed asset, prepaid, and deferred revenue schedules with guidance from senior finance team members.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
- Support external audit and tax processes by preparing documentation and responding to requests as assigned.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and GAAP standards.
- Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the accounting function.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- 2+ years of experience
- Experience working with Quickbooks Online preferred
- Good understanding of US GAAP
- Strong written and spoken English
- Strong Excel skills, including reconciliations, lookups, and basic pivot tables. Comfortable working with modern SaaS tools and learning new systems.
- Exposure to month-end close processes and balance sheet reconciliations in a high-volume or SaaS environment is a plus.
