Position Overview: Our company seeks an experienced project management professional with system conversion experience and experience managing complex projects, to join our company as an Operational Project Manager. In this role you will be responsible for leading strategic operational initiatives that are focused on improving organizational efficiency, streamlining processes, and driving system consolidations. Experience with systems conversions, process redesign, and cross-functional collaboration, while thriving in a fast-paced environment consistent with competing priorities, is essential to succeeding in this position.

Work location arrangements: This is a full time, fully remote position with a preference for qualified candidates who reside in the U.S. Eastern or Central time zones.

Professional Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation to ensure timely delivery of transformation initiatives daily
  • Monitor project progress using tools such as JIRA, ClickUp and MS Planner proactively identifying and resolving issues to maintain momentum
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project communications, providing regular updates to stakeholders and leadership
  • Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and document action throughout the project lifecycle
  • Facilitate project retrospectives to capture lessons learned and apply continuous improvement practices
  • Establish and refine best practices for operational transformation and system integration
  • Analyze current workflows to identify inefficiencies, redundancies, and opportunities for automation or optimization
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and successful execution of transformation goals
  • Support knowledge sharing and cross-training within the Project Management Office (PMO)
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in a Business-related field
  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience leading operational or system consolidation projects in the insurance industry with Property & Casualty (P&C) or Employee Benefits (EB) operations
  • Prior experience with Applied Epic or BenefitPoint systems implementation
  • Proven ability to lead initiatives with limited subject matter expertise by leveraging stakeholder input and structured project methodologies
  • Strong relationship-building skills with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Experience with project management tools such as JIRA, ClickUp, and MS Planner, and familiarity with enterprise systems and data platforms
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Suite and in particular Excel
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral)
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and multitasking abilities
  • Ability to hold team members accountable while driving results to both direct and indirect reporting lines
  • Willingness to travel as needed (minimal travel anticipated)

Salary Range: A starting base salary in the $75,000 - $90,000 range, depending on the candidate’s experience.

*A wide salary range is posted for this position, and any job offer is based upon a salary analysis to comply with the required state pay transparency law. The salary analysis considers relevant experience, education, certifications, and seniority as compared to others doing substantially similar work. There is no guarantee an offer will be at the top of the posted range based on the salary analysis.
