Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our growing healthcare team. In this vital role, you will work alongside pharmacists to support high-quality patient care and ensure the safe, accurate, and effective use of medications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist pharmacists in the accurate and efficient preparation and dispensing of medications.
  • Maintain proper medication inventory, including monitoring stock, placing orders, and processing returns.
  • Deliver exceptional patient service by responding to medication-related questions and health inquiries.
  • Utilize aseptic techniques when compounding sterile products, including IV infusions.
  • Ensure full compliance with pharmacy regulations, guidelines, and professional standards.
  • Document medication administration accurately within patient records.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals across departments to support optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in ongoing training and educational programs to stay current with pharmacy best practices.

Location

This position requires rotating between our eight medical centers throughout Miami-Dade County. Rotation varies throughout the workweek based on organizational needs.

License/Certifications

  • Licensed as a Pharmacy Technician in Florida (required)
  • PTCB Certification (highly preferred)

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish with a focus on patient service.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacy operations.
  • Background in patient care in a medical center or critical care setting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with aseptic techniques and medication administration protocols.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development within the pharmacy field.
