Join Our Team as a PET CT Technologist

Position Summary: The PET CT Technologist is responsible for providing high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures as requested by medical staff. This role involves performing PET CT scans, maintaining equipment, ensuring patient safety, and adhering to radiation safety principles.

What You'll Do:

  • Perform all required diagnostic PET CT scanning procedures, ensuring high-quality imaging and accurate diagnoses.
  • Recognize and initiate treatment for allergic reactions, notifying the responsible physician as needed.
  • Coordinate daily activities of the PET CT department, including patient scheduling and verifying special requirements or restrictions.
  • Maintain PET CT scanning equipment in good operating order, including cleaning and reporting any malfunctions.
  • Ensure all exams are performed according to ALARA (As Low as Reasonably Achievable) principles and keep track of dosimeter readings.
  • Maintain accurate records of supplies inventory and request necessary supplies through appropriate channels.
  • Ensure that any required consent forms are signed prior to examination.
  • Participate in the delivery of care as scheduled, maintaining open communication with other departments.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong understanding of radiation safety principles and ALARA guidelines.
  • Excellent judgment and ability to evaluate diagnostic studies for quality and accuracy.
  • Ability to handle emergency procedures and recognize allergic reactions.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to coordinate department activities.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to maintain open channels of communication with other departments.

Job Details

  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Location: On-site (8881 NW 18th Terrace Ste 102, Doral, FL 33172)
  • Licensure: Active licensure from the State of Florida as a Certified Radiologic Technologist qualified in Nuclear Medicine.
  • ARRT Certification: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in performing diagnostic PET CT scans.
  • Language Skills: Bilingual – fluent in English and Spanish
