What You'll Own
- Self-sourced pipeline. The majority of your pipeline will come from your own outbound. You'll be expected to have a working book of self-generated opportunities within your first 60 days.
- Full-cycle new business. Prospect, qualify, demo, build the business case, negotiate, close. This role carries new logo only.
- Brand-side relationships. You'll sell to C-suite, e-commerce, marketing, insights, and category leaders inside consumer brands, and often to several of them at once in the same deal.
- Variable deal shapes. Cycles run from roughly 14 days to 180 days depending on the size and complexity of the opportunity, with deal sizes ranging from 5 to 6 figures. You'll need the discipline to move fast on smaller deals while running a multi-stakeholder process on the larger ones, often in the same week.
- Cross-functional execution. You'll work with Product, Customer Success, RevOps, and Solutions throughout the cycle to scope the right solution and hand off cleanly at close.
Primary objective: Consistent, self-generated revenue growth against quota.
- Meet or exceed quota through a pipeline you built yourself.
- Maintain pipeline coverage sufficient to hit your number.
- Run a disciplined qualification process. You can articulate the business problem, the economic buyer, the decision process, and the cost of inaction on every deal in your forecast.
- Forecast accurately. We'd rather hear a hard truth early than a pleasant surprise late.
- Keep Salesforce clean enough that your pipeline is legible to someone who isn't you.
- Minimum 3-5 years in a closing role (AE or above) in B2B SaaS, with a documented record of hitting quota.
- Sales Methodology Training.
- Demonstrated ability to source and close self-generated deals - not just work inbound or SDR-supplied pipeline.
- Experience running multi-stakeholder deal cycles with more than one decision maker.
- Comfort with data as the substance of the sale, not decoration. You should be able to read a chart, find the story in it, and use it to change how a prospect sees their business.
- Familiarity with ecommerce, retail media, marketplace, or data/analytics platforms is a strong plus.

How We'll Evaluate You
- Hunter mentality. You generate your own pipeline and don't wait for it to arrive.
- Consultative selling. You diagnose before you prescribe, and you tie what you sell to a business outcome the buyer can defend internally.
- Clear communication. You're credible with an analyst and with a VP, and you adjust without losing the thread.
- Resilience and grit. You take feedback directly, act on it, and keep going through a slow month.
- Adaptability. Our product, our market, and our playbook all move. You'll be asked to change how you sell more than once.
- Ownership. You run your territory like it's your business. The addressable market you will be given for your territory is massive.
- Scrappy — Resourceful in finding a way into an account and around an obstacle.
- Multiply — Builds durable value for customers and for the team, not just for the current quarter.
- Excellence — Holds a high bar on prep, follow-up, and execution.
- Clarity — Communicates goals, progress, and value with precision and honesty.
