With an Executive team that has over thirty years of industry experience of leading the way, we’ve come a long way from our first customer in 2011—but we’ve just scratched the surface of what we want to accomplish for our customers.
The team
Marketing at Jobber is responsible for telling our story, growing awareness, and driving demand. Within Marketing, Social plays a critical role in how we show up every day—shaping how our brand is experienced in the wild and how we connect with the home service community at scale.
Social is one of Jobber’s most visible and fast-moving channels, with a strong foundation and meaningful reach. This role will be instrumental in evolving that presence: driving a social-first content strategy, taking creative risks through rapid experimentation, and partnering cross-functionally to bring campaigns to life to expand our reach and following.
The Role
We’re looking for a Social Media Manager to lead Jobber’s social presence as a strategic, creative, and performance-driven channel.
This isn’t a “post and schedule” role. You’ll own how we show up on social: optimizing and executing on a social-first content strategy, creating and testing high-performing content (especially on video-first platforms), engaging with the community, and partnering across teams to bring campaigns to life in a way that earns attention and engagement.
You’re the single dedicated headcount for social, and must be a master at collaboration and project management to leverage the many internal and external partners and creators you have access to in your role.
This role is ideal for someone who thinks like a creator, operates like a marketer, and builds like a systems thinker.
This role is an 13-month maternity leave contract, offering a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact within our team during this period.
The Social Media Manager will:
Own and evolve Jobber’s social media strategy across platforms (TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, X), balancing brand, engagement, and growth
Collaborate closely with the Creative Studio (especially video) to plan, produce, and deliver high-quality content at scale, and coordinate with creators or freelancers as needed
Drive the creation of social-first content from concept to publish, with a focus on short-form video and high-performing, platform-native formats
Lead rapid experimentation: testing trends, formats, and “viral swings,” and doubling down on what works
Partner cross-functionally with Brand Marketing and Communications, Content, Product Marketing, and Partnerships to ensure social is integrated into campaigns from the start
Translate campaign and business goals into compelling social content that drives awareness, engagement, and impact
Build and optimize content systems, calendars, and workflows that enable consistent, efficient output
Leverage AI tools to enhance content ideation, creation, analysis, and distribution
Monitor performance and platform analytics, turning insights into clear recommendations and continuous improvement
Manage community engagement while actively monitoring sentiment, exercising strong judgment in sensitive situations, and escalating or responding to protect Jobber’s reputation
To Be Successful, You’ll Have
Proven experience in organic social media, with ownership over strategy and execution
A strong point of view on what makes content perform on modern platforms
Proven experience creating and rapid-testing high-performing social content that drives engagement and growth
Strong cross-functional skills, with experience partnering closely with creative and video teams and influencers/creators
A systems mindset, with the ability to build scalable content workflows and processes
Comfort using data and analytics to evaluate performance and guide decisions
Good judgment in community management, including handling sensitive situations and protecting brand reputation
