Full job description
JOB TITLE– Mitigation Technician
Purpose: To complete emergency restoration services for families, businesses and disaster victims- including fire, water, sewer, mold and environmental damage.
Job Summary: The mitigation tech position is primarily accountable for job site performance related to the production of Insurcomm’s restoration services.
Duties:
- Assess property damaged by fire, water, mold, and weather related disasters.
- Work with the contents division to clean and store salvageable belongings and property.
- Remove and replace all damaged building material.
- Perform water mitigation and extraction services.
- Decontaminate and deodorize indoor space.
- Document job by taking photos and uploading to PSA. Work directly with the project manager, crew chief or project coordinator to capture required onsite documentation during their performance of the job.
- Address client questions and concerns with empathy and professionalism.
- Follow all IICRC procedures.
- Properly set up, clean, and put away all tools and equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the jobsite.
- Follow procedures and processes created by the warehouse manager for vehicle use, equipment use and daily documentation required for all consumables used on a project.
- Work with your team effectively.
Requirements:
- Willing to become IICRC certified (inspection cleaning and restoration certification).
- WRT (water damage restoration endorsement) is preferred.
- Proficient knowledge of hand and power tools.
- Physically able to lift up to 50lb.
- Strong communication, listening and interpersonal skills.
- Social awareness.
- Acceptable driving record.
- Willingness to be a team player.
- Punctuality and attendance is a must.
- Ability to complete on site job documentation with an industry related software app and smart phone.

- Water damage restoration: 1 year (Preferred)
