Job Overview:

The Workforce & Finance Analyst will report to the Colombia Financial & Compliance Controller and be responsible for partnering with Operations Team Leadership on the support, implementation and compliance of team member working shifts and hours established by Operational Team Leaders.

This position acts as a bridge between Operations, Finance, Human Resources, and our external payroll provider, ensuring accurate reporting of workforce data and staffing coverages, analyzing cost efficiency opportunities, and supporting payroll execution performed by the external payroll provider.

The Analyst will support leadership by (i) providing operational validation of working hours for payroll preparation, (ii) focusing on the preparation, review, and approval of payroll and financial reports that require operational validation and coordination with the external payroll provider prior to payment, (iii) analyzing labor costs, (iv) monitoring absenteeism impact, (v) reporting on and providing actionable workforce insights to support operational and financial decision-making.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure working hour conditions, overtime, and shift structures are correctly applied across the organization, covering all applicable roles and employment arrangements, and aligned with internal policies and local labor regulations.
  • Analyze labor cost trends, payroll expenses, and budget variances
  • Collect, validate, and consolidate payroll-related inputs (hours worked, overtime, absences, operational incidents) for submission to the external payroll provider
  • Perform absenteeism analysis and assess operational and financial impact
  • Prepare workforce-related operational and financial reports and dashboards
  • Consolidate and validate sales performance data for commission reporting
  • Provide leadership with strategic insights on workforce optimization and cost control
  • Review and approve payroll reports for payment, as well as other financial reports assigned by the Finance Controller

(Note: This role does not perform payroll calculations or execute payments.)

Qualifications:
Given the scope and level of responsibility, this role requires a strong combination of analytical, operational, and financial skills, including:
  • Degree in Accounting, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field, plus 2+ years of professional experience
  • Solid understanding of payroll processes and labor cost structures (experience with Colombia payroll is a strong plus)
  • Advanced analytical skills, with the ability to interpret large datasets and translate them into actionable insights
  • Experience preparing and validating financial and payroll-related reports
  • High attention to detail and strong data validation and control mindset
  • Advanced Excel / spreadsheet skills; experience with HRIS, time management, or payroll systems is highly desirable
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with Operations, HR, Finance, and external providers
  • Strong communication skills to explain complex data and recommendations to non-financial stakeholders
  • Proactive, structured, and process-oriented approach to problem-solving
