The Receiving & Inventory Associate is responsible for managing the flow of goods and materials to maintain efficient flow of materials to meet the demands of the business. This position ensures that shipments are accurately received, verified, and stored, while also maintaining accurate records of inventory levels and movements. Duties include unloading trucks, checking in materials, organizing stock, and fulfilling customer orders.

What You Will Do

  • Receive shipments from carriers and distribute or stock appropriately.
  • Inspect all incoming raw materials, ensuring conformity to checklist and completing non-conforming reports as needed
  • Perform goods receipt and goods issue processes in SAP.
  • Maintain proper documentation for receiving goods and issuing goods for all cost centers.
  • Maintain all documents for reviewing non-conforming and conforming purchased materials in SAP
  • Manage physical inventory levels of raw materials. Inform purchasing personnel if any item on MRP goes to zero stock on the shelf.
  • Process raw material requests and place items on pick-up shelf for end users.
  • Perform routine cycle counts on physical inventory including using inventory count documents.
  • Keep supply, raw material inventory and receiving areas clean and orderly to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Support quality control processes by developing and updating SOPs for receiving processes as needed.
  • Complete assigned monthly close duties and coordinate with accounting team to comply with company policies.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management, which may not be listed above, that are necessary to accomplish our goal of improving lives by supporting scientific discovery.

Who You Are & What You Bring

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • ERP experience a plus
  • receiving experience preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret written work orders
  • attention to detail
  • excellent verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds and stand for long periods of time
