We are also growing our offering to clients focused on the energy transition, providing tradeable insights on long-term trends. We have also recently acquired Kayrros (2026) headquartered in Paris, France.
We are hiring now for a Management Accountant.
The Management Accountant will own the preparation of the group's consolidated Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow, working closely with external accountants, the Accounts Payable team and the wider Finance function. The role combines hands-on management accounts preparation with balance sheet ownership, business partnering and support for budgeting and forecasting. The successful candidate will be comfortable both processing detailed accounting entries in Sage and explaining financial results clearly to non-financial stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
• Own the month-end close process end to end, ensuring deadlines are met and reporting is accurate and complete.
• Own the preparation of monthly management accounts, including group consolidated P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow statements.
• Perform multi-currency group consolidation, applying appropriate exchange rates and managing FX translation and transaction adjustments across entities.
• Gather, review and process financial data received from external accountants in overseas entities, ensuring consistency with group accounting policies.
• Post journals and maintain accounting records in Sage Intacct, ensuring data from external accountants is accurately reflected in the general ledger.
• Reconcile all Balance Sheet accounts on a monthly basis, understanding the composition of each line item and resolving variances or unusual movements in a timely manner.
• Support the Financial Reporting Accountant and Financial Controller in building and maintaining robust financial controls across the business.
• Work closely with the Accounts Payable team to ensure costs are accounted for correctly, in the right period and to the right cost centre or entity.
• Work with the Head of FP&A on revenue recognition, forecasting and reporting, and helping to maintain and enhance existing budgeting and forecasting models.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
• Minimum 3 years' proven experience in a management accounting role, ideally including group consolidation. (Essential)
• Part-qualified or newly qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Experience working with Sage Intacct or a similar accounting system. (Essential)
• Experience reconciling balance sheet accounts and investigating variances. (Essential)
• Experience with P&L variance analysis and providing key commentary on variances. (Essential)
• Excellent Excel skills. (Essential)
• Experience building or maintaining financial models.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts and data to non-financial managers. (Essential)
• High attention to detail and a control-focused mindset. (Essential)
• Ability to build effective working relationships across Finance, Accounts Payable and the wider business. (Essential)
• Organised and able to manage competing deadlines during the month-end close. (Essential)
• Proactive and comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively. (Essential)
• Prior exposure to working with external accountants or overseas finance teams.
