Summary

As an Auto Body Painter, you’ll prep metal, plastic, and composite surfaces and apply primer, basecoat, and clearcoat to meet CollisionRight standards for color match, texture, and durability.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

• Perform proper surface prep; clean, sand, and prime as required

• Mask glass/trim; protect non-paint areas to minimize tape lines/overspray

• Spray primer, base, and clear (waterborne or solvent systems)

• Mix & match paints; verify color/effect prior to application

• Buff/sand finished panels to finish standards

• Assist with minor body work to prepare vehicles for paint

• Use required PPE; follow OSHA and hazardous-waste procedures

• Clean and maintain spray guns, booths, and related equipment

• Inspect finished work for quality and accuracy

Qualifications

• 1–3+ years professional auto refinish experience (MSO/dealership/independent)

• Strong knowledge of surface prep, masking, priming, and refinish workflows

• Proficient with spray guns/equipment and color matching

• Excellent eyesight/color perception; high attention to detail

• Safety-minded; follows written and verbal instructions

• Able to lift 35 lbs routinely (occasionally 70+ lbs); comfortable with climbing/stooping/kneeling/crouching

• Thrives in a fast-paced, production environment
