The team and areas of ownership
The Digital Showroom team is reimagining B2B sales enablement, building a sophisticated platform that gives sales teams seamless, read-only access to rich product data sourced directly from Akeneo's PIM. Concretely, that means a multi-tenant SaaS application serving many organizations from one platform, each with isolated data that maps large, complex product datasets into a fast, searchable experience for business users.
You'll engineer the solutions that empower Sales Executives in e-commerce to find exactly the product information they need, instantly and, as the product grows, may extend into areas such as AI-powered natural-language search, private showrooms for sharing curated selections with external guest users, and integrations with CPQ Configure-Price-Quote) solutions.
How we work
We work as an Impact Team: a cross-functional group aligned around a specific,
measurable impact for our customers rather than a list of features to ship.
We work backwards from the customer, start small, and let experimentation and data, not opinions, guide what we build and what we choose not to build.
For each topic we set an appetite — the amount of time we're willing to invest —and ship the best version we can within it. In that environment, you:
Favor an iterative, experiment-driven approach — ship small, learn fast, refine
Take end-to-end ownership of what you build ("Built It, Own It")
Solve complex, ambiguous problems and bring clarity to them
Design and reason about distributed systems
Stay performance-minded — latency, scale, and cost
Give and receive feedback openly — we grow together
Mentor and lift the people around you
Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences
What you'll deliver in this role
Shape the future of a massive serverless cloud environment. We're not just building software; we're architecting scalable solutions on GCP, leveraging the cutting edge of the Javascript ecosystem – think Node.js, React, and Next.js – to create impactful experiences.
Mentor and guide fellow engineers, sharing your deep knowledge and fostering a culture of continuous learning across our talented team. Your impact will extend far beyond your individual contributions.
Working cross-functionally with a variety of stakeholders across multiple product lines
What we'll set you up for success
Demonstrable advanced-level proficiency across Full-Stack Engineering within a large-scale serverless Cloud-environment, ideally utilising technologies from the JavaScript ecosystem (we use Node, React, and Next) and GCP
As a Senior Software Engineer here, you won't just code; you'll own it. Our "Built It, Own It" philosophy means you'll be integral to the entire lifecycle, from crafting elegant microservices and robust cloud architectures to implementing deployment and observability best practices. You'll be empowered to make a real difference.
Communication is key to our collaborative success. You'll be a vital bridge, effortlessly translating complex technical concepts for both technical peers and non-technical stakeholders. Your ability to connect and influence will be crucial as we continue to innovate.
Quality isn't an afterthought; it's ingrained in your DNA. You'll champion a test-driven approach, ensuring the reliability and robustness of everything we build. Your commitment to excellence will be instrumental in maintaining our high standards.
More than just a technologist, you're a customer advocate. You understand that technology serves a purpose, and you're driven by a desire to deeply understand user needs and deliver solutions that have a tangible business impact.
You don't need to tick every box. We strongly encourage candidates from all backgrounds to apply. If you are excited about this opportunity but your experience is slightly different, we still want to hear from you!
