Job Description

The Head of Clinical Data Services Delivery, India is operationally responsible for managing offshore delivery excellence of Data Services that ensures high quality, large-scale implementations to meet schedule commitments and project budgets, while effectively managing customer engagements. The Head of Clinical Data Services Delivery, India shall collaborate with Chief Delivery Officer, Data Services to create enterprise-wide expertise driving strategy and implementing solutions that continuously develops an evolving service-oriented function. The Head of Clinical Data Services Delivery, India partners with internal stakeholders to deploy continuous improvement processes by ensuring development and implementation of efficient operations and cost-effective systems to meet current and future needs of eClinical Solutions.

This position reports to the Head of India Operations and will also have a dotted line reporting to the Chief Delivery Officer, Data Services.

 

KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build and grow a best-in-class delivery team in India, focused on both delighting the customer and managing the business.
  • Demonstrate the ability to set strategy, drive performance, produce superior results, cultivate ownership and collaboration cross functionally.
  • Prioritize, analyse, and direct all function-related activities within the scope of India delivery team.
  • Build and grow a delivery management team to effectively manage competing priorities, focus on solving customer problems and adding value for customers.
  • Clearly communicate business value, project statistics and issues to executive leadership to lead the alignment of the India service delivery strategy with the global business strategy.
  • Identify, communicate, and manage KPIs, SLAs and scorecards to measure and monitor progress of India team against the global team’s objectives and ensure that customer delivery is best-in-class.
  • Apply data-driven methods form decisions about solutions, deliveries, and teams. Provide leadership and guide to coach, motivate and lead team members to their optimum performance levels and career development.
  • Incorporate sophisticated talent planning methods into strategic plans to manage succession, build career paths, drive engagement, and deliver on service expectations.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by staying abreast of industry/emerging trend.
  • Other duties as assigned

 

CANDIDATE’S PROFILE:

 

Education/Language

 

  • Four-year college degree required or relevant master's preferred, analytic discipline a plus
  • Excellent command of the English language (both written and verbal)

 

Professional Skills & Experience

 

  • Minimum of 20+ years Pharmaceutical/Biotechnology/Medical Device industry
  • Minimum of 10+ years relevant senior level management experience
  • Minimum 10+ years in CRO/Pharmaceutical/Biotechnology /FSP service providers from India
  • Strong team leadership skills regarding scope management, work planning and work delegation
  • Strong knowledge of ICH/G guidelines, 21 CFR Part 1 1, clinical trial methodology and software development lifecycle activities.
  • Strong interpersonal, influencing, and problem-solving skills to navigate competing demands, fast paced change initiatives and stressful interactions with internal and external stakeholders Demonstrated ability to think both strategically and tactically
  • Excellent verbal, written, knowledge transfer, and presentation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to recruit best talent from the industry or service providers in the Biometrics space
