MACOM designs and manufactures semiconductor products for Data Center, Telecommunication and Industrial and Defense applications.

Job Description

  • Work with device design team to design and optimize Doherty and Class-AB evaluation circuits to initiate design-in opportunities at key basestation customers supporting GaN on Silicon Carbide high power FET, MMIC, and Modules.
  • Manage accounts as the technical interface. Build and maintain relationships with development teams at customer sites.
  • Support sales and marketing with customer form-factor Doherty demo board characterization, verification and DPD testing
  • Present solutions and product overview to customer base
  • Some travel will be necessary.

Key Competencies Required: 

  • Bachelor/Master Degree in electronics engineering with focus on RF circuit design.
  • 5+ years’ experience in RF power amplifier design or applications with GaN and LDMOS technologies.
  • Demonstrated experience of high power RF circuit techniques for performance enhancements such as digital pre-distortion and Doherty.
  • Expert in RF laboratory equipment and measurement techniques including power amplifier circuit assembly, tuning and characterization.
  • Proficient with simulation tools such as ADS/Microwave office/Momentum.
  • Excellent problem solving skills with a proactive attitude.

Other Special Skills:

  • Knowledgeable in modelling techniques for non-linear systems.
  • Knowledgeable in 4G, 5G RF system specification requirements
  • Experience with high volume production power amplifier design
  • Knowledgeable with high power loadpull characterization, bench automation
