Job Description:

You will be key member of Acacia’s Engineering team and help manage and usher our products thru their life cycle phases.  You will work within a multi-disciplinary hardware, software, optics, and DSP engineering organization.  This role is responsible for managing various facets of our programs from project scheduling, tracking, and resource allocation, to NPI and production ramp cross-functional program management.


Key Essential Functions: 

  • Create and track NPI program schedules, budgets, and manpower requirements, etc.
  • Be the key interface between Hardware engineering and Acacia’s other organizations
  • Provide timely project status to senior management and cross functional teams
  • Help identify and reduce engineering project risks and impediments
  • Contribute to engineering process definition and documentation

Minimum Qualifications, Experience, Skills, Education and Certifications:

  • B.S. in relevant field (M.S. preferred) with at least 10 years program management experience
  • Significant (7+) years of direct HW engineering management in a product driven company
  • Demonstrated responsibility for large complex HW/SW projects (budgets, manpower, schedules, etc.)
  • Demonstrated project management skills for large multi-disciplinary engineering projects
  • Solid understanding of complex high speed communication products HW development process
  • Experienced and comfortable with Hardware and embedded Software design product life cycle
  • Understand and comfortable to contribute to engineering and ISO process documentation
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills


Highly Desired Skills:

  • Ideal candidate has held roles in HW engineering design, Project, and Product management
  • Ideal candidate has had significant hands-on HW engineering design background
  • Ideal candidate is technically up to date and can quickly grasp complex new technologies
  • Knowledge of optical communications product is a plus
