Intern Connectivity Software at MACOM
Perform Software-level Development and testing of drivers, API’s of high speed Connectivity chips such as PHY, framer, mapper, etc. Develop automation test suites to support ongoing software regression tests.
Design and Develop driver APIs.
Develop both manual and automated test suites for testing software drivers
Working closely with Software and Hardware Engineering for problem analysis and resolution
Performing usability, reliability and functionality testing for MACOM’s boards and transport drivers
BE/ME in Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Electronics Engineering or equivalent
Must have sound understanding of Networking domain. Exposure to either optical Ethernet on or above 10G speed or optical transport network (OTN) on or above 10G speed rate will be an added advantage
Proficient in C programming and scripting languages such as Perl, Python
Good understanding or background in hardware driver implementation
Must be capable of reading and understanding, a pre-existing code base.
Must be capable of reading and comprehending product marketing requirements and engineering design specs.
Good English communications skills, both verbal and writing.
Good teamwork and dedication.
Any of the following is highly desirable but not required:
Familiar with Linux/WINDOWS programming environment and optical testing equipment
Background in the implementation and/or testing of peripheral devices such as timing devices, PLL, Ethernet, USB, Serial, or PCIe is a big plus
Background or knowledge of in transport technologies such as Ethernet / OTN
Understanding of I2C, MDIO, optical modules (QSFP, CFP, etc.) is desirable
