Senior Director, NPI-Lightwave BU at MACOM

This person will lead the New Product Introduction (NPI) organization of the Lightwave Business unit within Macom. This organization is responsible for the assembly and test of optical subassemblies, and also provides the link between development, sustaining manufacturing, and quality.
Develop assembly processes for optical components that have low cycle time, high yield, and low capital cost.
Develop test processes for optical subassemblies that have low cycle time, high yield, and low capital cost.
Work intimately with overseas CMs and establish high volume manufacturing.
Work with quality and reliability organization to ensure that all relevant company metrics are being met.
Develop and manage operating budgets
Properly document all processes
Manage organization with well-defined goals and metrics.
Communicate effectively with own team, development, sales and marketing, and sustaining manufacturing
Develop young talent into high performance individuals
Participate in project planning, making and meeting work commitments
BSEE or MSEE, 10+ years in engineering or engineering management
Preferred Additional Skills:
3+ years of experience with Silicon Photonics high volume manufacturing in assembly and test at a director level or higher
Experience with multiple overseas Contract Manufacturers that have optical assembly experience.
