Supply Chain Planning Manager
We are looking for a Supply Chain Planning Manager to join our existing Supply Chain Operations team located in our Santa Clara CA office. This position will report to MACOM’s Snr Director Supply Chain. As a key member of MACOM’s business operations team, the Supply Chain Planning Manager will lead all aspects of supply planning, execution and deliveries for MACOM’s Connectivity products.
The Supply Chain Planning Manager (PM) is a strong leader with demonstrated project and operations management skills. The candidate for this position must be a self-starter, capable of developing and achieving organizational and program objectives in a matrix environment and must be able to successfully interface with all levels of internal management.
He or she will represent the Planning organization on Connectivity supply chain policies, strategies and objectives. He or she will oversee Supply Chain planning activities needed to meet program requirements and ensures a strong link between various Supply Chain functions including Purchasing/Sub-Contracts, Logistics and Manufacturing.
The successful candidate will be required to collaborate with MACOM Product Line Managers (PLM’s), Program Managers, Internal Operations, Finance, Suppliers/Subcontractors and 3rd-party personnel in order to execute to customer specific programs and orders.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for Supply Planning and Production Control functions.
Execution in the S&OP process (planning cycle) including raw materials planning MRP, inventory management and orders shipment planning.
Manage the demand scheduling of a global supplier and sub-contractor base.
Analyses production and capacity requirements. Completes capacity analyses for any changes to product portfolio and advises of any impacts.
Lead and develop a small team of supply chain planners who will execute MPS by converting planned MRP orders to purchase orders for contract manufacturers (CM), component suppliers and production orders to subcontractor manufacturers.
Responsible for interface with Product Managers, Business Operations, Design Engineering, Product Engineering and NPI transfer teams.
Continuously identifies opportunities for system and process improvements and uses Operational Excellence and project management skills to implement changes.
Reports planning & operations performance metrics to improve performance continually (e.g. MPS adherence, OTD, Inventory Flash Report).
Presents information, analyses and provides recommendations to management.
Creates rolling forecasts to aid revenue planning, supplier & CM forecasting & capacity planning requirements.
Knowledge & Skills
Have solid knowledge of semiconductor processes, supply chain, procurement and S&OP.
Previous program/project management experience in developing and implementing processes for new supply chain solutions
Ability to evaluate program needs, identify and develop integrated and detailed supply chain plans and ability to effectively influence supplier performance including the implementation of corrective actions and recovery plans as necessary.
Previous people leadership / people development experience
Thorough working knowledge of MRP (inputs, logic and outputs) within SAP ERP system
Effectively manage internal and external stakeholder relationships.
Adapts communication style and works effectively across multiple functions and sites.
Advises on solutions to complex problems, projects or programs.
Ability to communicate findings clearly and concisely and make recommendations.
Ability to work under minimal direction and independently develop solutions that are thorough, practical and consistent with functional objectives

Bachelor degree in Engineering, Science, Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management or relevant experience
Approximately 10 years planning experience in semiconductor manufacturing.
Managing projects and programs from inception to delivery
Balance strategic thinking with tactical application to support program execution
Strong ERP experience (SAP)
S&OP process experience
Experience in making presentations to Senior Management.
Execution of Quarterly Revenue Plans, including available supply, recommended inventory levels, inventory risks, and manufacturing risks and capabilities.
Proven track record of effectively prioritizing and executing tasks
Demonstrated ability to work well as part of a team but also has the ability to work independently (if/when required).
