Overview

The Director of Talent Development translates our business strategy into specific people and organizational development strategies that move the business forward. This individual works with leaders across the organization to improve individual and team effectiveness through the design, development and implementation of learning and organizational development projects. The role is responsible to develop programs to drive culture and employee engagement while reinforcing our values-based culture, making ABILITY a great place to do great work.
Responsibilities

Work closely with leaders across the organization to design and execute our human resources strategy that ensures organizational goals are achieved.
Partners with all parts of the organization to understand current and future talent needs; develops, implements and manages programs to ensure the needs are met.
Collaborates with leaders to build a learning and development culture.
Manage leadership and professional development initiatives:
Establish leadership programs for all levels of leadership; develop and facilitate programs as appropriate, or partner with outside vendors
Establish cross-organization education curriculums to build industry and organization knowledge and skills in areas of identified need
Build or source necessary education materials to support HR initiatives and processes
Support function-specific education needs through assistance in identification of vendors
Partner with Sales and Customer Operations/Customer training leaders to provide support on general professional skills topics
Prepare for critical evolution of talent development at ABILITY by leading planned 2018 work to develop a leadership pipeline framework
Based on framework outcomes, propose, design and deliver strategic talent management and succession processes
Establish a career pathing framework and supporting resources
Design and monitors custom high-potential leadership development plans
Manage functional vendor relationships
Lead strategic usage of LMS to enable professional development; partners with training leaders in Customer Operations and Sales to recommend and drive direction of learning technology
Build upon current communication mechanisms to continue to build awareness of professional development opportunities
Design, develop and manage an enhanced onboarding approach
Implement and manage compliance training strategy in partnership with compliance function
Provide strategic guidance and support implementing organizational change.
Reinforce learning as a component of organizational culture, employee engagement and workforce retention.
Collaborate with HR on organizational development interventions.
Design and facilitate team development interventions.
Other projects and duties as assigned.
Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Human Resources, Organizational Development or related field.
At least 10 years’ experience in leadership development, talent management, training
Instructional design experience required
Experience with enterprise Learning Management Systems required
Experience in organizational development preferred
DiSC certification preferred
Experience developing, delivering and managing leadership development programs within a geographically distributed organization.
Strong consultative skills.
Strong facilitation skills.
Strong project management skills.
Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
Ability to be collaborative and influential, and manage people who are not direct reports.
Interest in working in a role where daily job duties range from building strategy to completing tactical execution tasks.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Self-motivated with strong organizational/prioritization skills and ability to multi-task with close attention to detail.
