Overview

The Product Manager who will be responsible for product planning and execution throughout the entire product life cycle. Listening to the market, the product Manager gathers, prioritizes and communicates product requirements that drive the development of market-driven products and solutions that support the company’s overall strategy and goals. This individual will be responsible for analyzing and understanding market needs, developing a product roadmap and product requirements, and executing to the product roadmap with timely and highly functional releases.
Responsibilities

Manage the product life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities.
Define requirements; produce market/product requirement documents.
Coordinate cross-functional team activities during the product release cycle.
Develop software release plans/schedules/project charters working closely with development to ensure customer needs, product quality standards and delivery deadlines are met. Assess scope, resources and product priorities
Communicate dates and deliverables.
Manage to key milestones, provide risk analysis and risk avoidance insight.
Understand/track dependencies and provide associated communications.
Develop a data driven roadmap (based on a provided strategic vision).
Assess product performance, manage to product management and operational metrics.
Serve as a resource for sales in product demos and on technical conference calls.
Support marketing teams with go-to-market activities.
Work closely with marketing managers to create a full suite of collateral, including: white papers, presentations, product datasheets, webinars and other sales support tools.
Function as go-to domain expert for the organization on products managed.
Provide training to internal constituencies on certain product capabilities and differentiators to ensure operational readiness.
Follow the product into the field to ensure customer success and participate in prospect and customer calls and meetings to gather requirements and resolve issues.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (computer science, information systems, or engineering) preferred; MBA is a plus.
Minimum 1-3 years’ of experience as a Product Manager (or equivalent) in a software or information services firm preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Self-motivated with strong organizational/prioritization skills and ability to multi-task with close attention to detail.
Comfortable interacting with a variety of stakeholders (i.e. sales, marketing, development, technical services, etc.) with a demonstrated ability to lead through influence.
Functional experience with hospital or physician patient billing workflow is a plus.
A quick learner, with good technical and business acumen.
Highly self-motivated and directed with the ability to juggle different tasks and effectively balance priorities.
Excellent presentation skills in interacting with management and communicating functional vision.
Able to resolve problems in a timely manner.
Ability to be flexible and work under changing priorities; comfortable with ambiguity.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint.
