    Duties:  

    Perform C/C++ coding to maintain and enhance existing DSP algorithms in a simulation environment; perform C/C++ coding for embedded firmware that controls DSP algorithms on an ASIC; utilize Python coding to develop and maintain tools to perform simulation runs on server farms/cloud in a highly scalable manner; mentor new associates; debug simulation failures and expand our tool base to increase efficiency; create MATLAB and Perl scripts to enhance performance testing platform; debug system failures; expand Linux tool base to increase efficiency; support and troubleshoot internal Linux and simulator problems.

     

     

    Requirements:

    Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field and one (1) year of experience performing signal processing and software development or a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field and three (3) years of experience as indicated above.

    Also requires demonstrated expertise (DE): maintaining and enhancing optical transmission simulation infrastructure in C++; DE evaluating the performance of FEC codes for optical communications systems via software emulation and measurements with ASICs; DE developing software for ASICs performance measurements; DE developing scalable software tools to perform simulation runs on server farms/cloud in Python; DE in MATLAB and Perl to create optical performance tests and enhance testing platform; DE using software debug tools to debug simulation failures and expanding Linux tool base to increase development efficiency; and DE providing support and troubleshooting for Linux tools and simulators.
