Acacia is looking for a top-notch IT Support intern to join our small, fast-paced, and highly-collaborative IT Help Desk team. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a history of meeting deadlines.

In this role, you'll work with peers to both provide user support and advance wide-impacting solutions. This could include researching our next big security initiative, or assisting users with any common issues that might arise with their devices. Along the way you'll find opportunities to grow personally and professionally, sharpening both your technical prowess and support style.

This internship is for 40 hours per week, and will run for ten weeks over the summer. Acacia’s state-of-the-art office space includes snacks, catered lunch on Wednesdays, an on-site gym, the best Help Desk team possible, and walking distance to many shops and amenities.

 

Key Essential Functions:

The IT Support intern's role will focus on the following three initiatives:

 Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues reported by Acacia's employees and contractors, including problems with their work-issued computers, the software they're running, their mobile devices, or the company's printers

 Ability to research, analyze, and document technology and software-based solutions when asked

 Ability to determine trends within Acacia’s Help Desk platform, and produce either written articles or automated solutions to mitigate those trends going forward

 

Other Requirements:

 Perform other duties as assigned

 

Minimum Qualifications, Experience, Skills, Education and Certifications:

 Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program, majoring in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or similar

 Currently considered either a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior in your studies

 Familiarity with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, and supporting cellular devices

 Ability to perform minor computer hardware changes

 2.7 minimum GPA

 Strong interpersonal, communicative, and organizational skills

 

Highly Desired Skills:

 Passionate about Technology

 Prior Help Desk experience

 Prior internship experience

 Programming experience, especially with PowerShell

 A+ Certification

 Local candidates preferred
